Back in World War II, harsh and cold
Weihnacht, both sides enjoyed Christmas together
German and American soldiers stopped fighting

They stopped fighting for one single night
Talked between each other
Shared stories of their lives

Celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ
For which they both worshiped
May have been Enemies

They were brothers & sisters in Christ
The day after Christmas, they continued to fight
Back in World War II, harsh and cold.
